Quantum physicist Peter Zoller received the Tyrolean Decoration of Honor at the Hofburg in Innsbruck. Thirteen personalities were recognized for their outstanding achievements, with the award presented by Tyrolean Governor Anton Mattle and South Tyrolean Governor Arno Kompatscher.
