Meet the Researchers Behind PASQuanS2
Programmable quantum simulators do not build themselves. Behind PASQuanS2 are experimentalists, theorists and engineers from universities, research institutes and industry in seven countries, working together to assemble machines made of individual atoms and ions.
On European Researchers' Night, celebrated across Europe on 25 September, we turned the spotlight on the people doing that work. In a series of short interviews, members of the consortium talk about what drew them to quantum simulation, what keeps them at it, and where they think the field is heading.
The interviews feature Immanuel Bloch, Andrew Daley, Simone Montangero, Leticia Tarruell and Antoine Browaeys, covering the span of the project from the experimental platforms to the theory and software that make them useful.
To every researcher in the PASQuanS2 community, thank you for your curiosity and your persistence.
